Morgans Hotel is a luxurious boutique hotel in a stunning Grade II listed building, with 42 elegant and unique bedrooms (across our main hotel and Townhouse), a beautiful ‘Banqueting Hall’ events space, an additional upstairs dining area, a relaxing bar-lounge, a glamorous champagne bar, and two further function spaces, both of which are particularly popular with guests celebrating special occasions or hosting corporate meetings.

Whether it’s picking up a guest from the airport when they arrive into the UK and driving them to the hotel, calling a local restaurant to make a reservation on their behalf, or simply putting a little card, sweet treat or personalised framed message wishing them a wonderful anniversary/birthday/stay in their room; our team are dedicated to ensuring guests of all ages have a relaxing and memorable stay with us.
We put huge emphasis on providing a very high standard of customer service: a customer service that is personal to every guest that visits us. We enjoy getting to know our guests by name, whether they’re visiting for the first time or have visited us for years, and work hard to remember guests’ favourite rooms and their go-to breakfast or bar order.

Morgans was originally the Harbour Trust Commission, but has been a Hotel since 2002.
How It All Began
Morgans Hotel is a Grade-II listed building and one of the most important buildings in Swansea! We fly our Welsh flag proudly and are proud of our history and local community links.
A century ago, what is now Morgans Hotel was the Harbour Trust Commission, where captains of ships sailing into Swansea would register their docking. Our reception area was once the banking office, and our bedrooms were once offices and meeting spaces.
The history of the building lives on in original features in bedrooms and in the lounge area, and in historic drawings of the marina on display in our Sir Galahad suite. Plus, instead of being numbered, all our rooms are named after ships that were built or docked in Swansea, as found in local archives by the Port Authority.
Staff are trained on the history of the building and our owner Martin Morgan, originally a welder from Plasmarl, is keen to promote Swansea as a destination, instilling a sense of pride when working for Morgans as a local family-run business!
